The Murray-Darling Basin Commission is supporting the formation of a Basin Salinity Network. The Network is a network of people across the Basin who require support for local and regional salinity planning or can offer experienced salinity management advice. The aim of the network is to develop stronger links between people in the Basin so they can gain access to information, technical advice and support - both now and in the future.

Who is the Basin Salinity Network for?

If you have a stake in dryland salinity management, require information or support, or have specialist knowledge or experience you are willing to share with others, the Basin Salinity Network is for you. Members of the network come from a broad range of backgrounds including:

  • Community representatives

  • Catchment planning and vegetation officers

  • Government extension providers

  • Local government representatives

  • Agribusiness consultants

  • Industry development officers

  • Scientific and engineering consultants

  • Researchers

If you would like more information on the Basin Salinity Network, please contact a member of the project team.
